  • Northeast: Pooja room, meditation space, water source, open space
  • East: Living room, children's rooms, balconies
  • Southeast: Kitchen, electrical room
  • South: Store rooms, heavy items
  • Southwest: Master bedroom, heavy storage, safe/locker
  • West: Children's rooms, study, dining
  • Northwest: Guest room, vehicle parking, moveable storage
  • North: Living room, office, cash counter, water features
  • Center (Brahmasthan): Courtyard, open space, light fixtures
  • Keep Brahmasthan open, unbuilt, or minimally loaded
  • Optimal entrance padas: North (5,13,22), East (19,28,37), West (33,42,51)
  • Use compass to orient grid correctly

The Don'ts (Inauspicious)

  • Never have toilet in Northeast (padas 1-9, 10, 19, 28)
  • Don't have kitchen in Northwest or Southwest
  • Avoid heavy construction in Northeast
  • Never place stairs in Northeast or Brahmasthan
  • Don't build pillars in center (blocks energy)
  • Avoid toilets in center (system-wide problems)
